The time is now!
After going out to my regular haunt tonight I was blown away by the severe lack of subsonic frequencies... It really bothered me that the dj tried to make up for lack of bass with the weak ass shit he was dropping by turning up the volume on the track... Problem is that doesn't add bass to the song, it just makes it louder and hurting my eardrums so any enjoyment that I could have received from your tunes is dead because you are literally hurting my ears, not just with shitty music, but with the volume cranked so high because the tracks you are dropping were not made with the proper amount of bass. Tonight a movement has begun. I am personally starting the Foundation of the Vibration, a group whose campaign is "S. ave O. ur B. ass,
The S.O.B. campaign, because the travesty I was subjected to tonight was a real son of a bitch. The S.O.B. campaing will be putting in a call to the whompbulance to deliver the vaccination of vibrations to those in dire need of a case of the WAH-WAH's. Bass: Freaks, Junkies, Fanatics, Enthusiasts, Advocates, flat out Feinds we must join together and prevent the heathenous infidels trying to pass their weak ass shit off as having enough bass... Remember making it louder does not add more bass. The only way to get MORE bass is to play the right music containing it to begin with. Everyone who knows better after being exposed to grimy filthy beats while being wrapped in a warm cocoon of weighty bass needs to rally to the cause. If it doesn't rattle your rib cage as it melts your face, you're doing it wrong... We need to rise up now before these non believers taint the blessed name of bass with their played out weak ass approximations.
True believers you have felt the vibration, you have seen the light at the top of the mountain, and you know that light would not exist without the strong foundation at it's bass. Bass is one of the corner stones that makes up the rhythm of a song. You can't take it away from us, we won't let you. The time is now before it comes to desperate times requiring desperate measures. City, where they are greeted with the words “Welcome Home.” Yet in
September they voyage 2000 more miles back to their permanent homes in
Chicago and the family, friends, or lovers unable to travel those 4000
miles.
And that's why there's a Decompression . . . for everyone to relive
Home, right here in our amazing town.

Each August, hundreds of Chicagoans voyage 2000 miles to Black Rock
City, where they are greeted with the words “Welcome Home.” Yet in
September they voyage 2000 more miles back to their permanent homes in
Chicago and the family, friends, or lovers unable to travel those 4000
miles.
And that's why there's a Decompression . . . for everyone to relive
Home, right here in our amazing town.

My early influences where Bad Boy Bill, Darren Styles, Mars & Mystre,...and so many more. I moved to S.F. area after high school. Began DJing throwing events for crowds across the country. By 2002 I was a regular resident DJ in S.F. hot spots. In 2003 I toured Europe and moving crowds in France, Holland, Bosnia, and Croatia.
In 2005 I enrolled at Expression College in Berkeley. During the year of 2007 I gained national and international attention with the remix of DHT's "Listen to your heart1" & headlined in Chicago, L.A., Las Vegas, Reno, Sacramento, Pittsburgh, Seattle, and S.F.That summer I released "Crowd Pleaser" a compilation of my original tracks and cutting edge hard dance nation.

My boy Scotty aka Ansible-Futurist has been making these mixes based on Pokemon characters for a few years ... man how time flies. Scotty and I used to mix all night long at my house all the time. I'M FREAKIN :: Dan Deacon is coming to the Chi!
So Dan Deacon is playing at the Brilliant Corners of Popular Amusement festival in Eckhart Park in Chicago (Chicago Ave and Noble St) on Sunday Sept 17, with Shellac, A Lull and Fool's Gold. To be honest, I've never heard of these other bands but I'm willing to give them a shot. I always enjoy checking out new music.
Deacon has been working on a new album and live show since his last "Spiderman of the Rings" album. Apparently the instrumentation on "Bromst" is a mixture of acoustic instruments, mechanical instruments, samples and electronics, rather than mainly electronic as his last album was.

DJ Mehdi has always had the freshest sounds from France and beyond. I just found out less than an hour ago that the one of the illest DJ's and Producers in the world has passed from this plane of existence. Respect is already showing up all over Youtube and the Blogosphere. I had the honor of seeing DJ Mehdi at Boom Boom Room with Kid Sister and Willy Joy, a few months back. His music will never be forgotten!

French DJ and producer DJ Mehdi has died at the age of 34. Mehdi, born Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, was a key figure in the French electro scene and a lynchpin of the Ed Banger label along with Justice, SebastiAn, Mr. Oizo, Uffie, Feadz and Cassius.
According to MTV News, DJ Mehdi was celebrating his 34th birthday on his rooftop at the time of his death. Some reports suggest that he fell from a collapsing mezzanine.

Full Moon Dates for 2011
Dates of the jams are subject to change and happen rain or shine. Jams do not happen on Friday or Saturday nights. In the case of the Full Moon falling on a Friday or Saturday night, jams are moved to Thursday or Sunday. Every jam ends by 10:15pm.

A few things to note:
SPECTATORS:
- This is a "Leave No Trace" event so please take out everything you brought with you, including any trash.
- Photographers are welcome but we ask that there be NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY as it is dangerously distracting to performers; also, if you use a tripod, either use a low one or please stand farther back with a full sized tripod so as not to obstruct the view of others.
- Pets are welcome, but please keep them leashed.
- Per Chicago park regulations, no alcohol or illicit substances allowed.
SPINNERS:
- even if you don't spin fire, please feel free to bring your gear and play!
- Please be aware that fire performers MUST attend and complete a safety training session in order to perform at a FMJ. Safety info/training session dates/times/locations will be posted on the wall for the jam as they are scheduled. The jam organizers are aware that this is a departure from the "open spin" policy of previous years, but have decided to implement this requirement in order to protect the interests of the fire spinning community and help ensure the continuation of the jams in Chicago.
- fire spinners should bring their own gear and fuel.
- ALL spinners are required to safety during the jam, general rule is "Spin one/Safety one."
Remember: protect the crowd, protect the community & protect yourself.

The undeniable sound from BLS (Black Light Saints) is the hot new collaboration of musician Alex Barandi, Ephriam Cuellar (Dynasty of Poseidon), and Britton Wetherald (British knights). Barandi, a seasoned indie rock musician and long time friend of Cuellar was looking to work on a dance music project and knew Wetherald and Cuellar had a reputation for their tireless efforts in the club scene through KDM events and as DJ duo, Disco Death Threat. What began as hazy late night conversations became studio sessions writing and creating music that entrances listeners in the moment and makes their bodies want to dance. Parts new wave, post punk, disco, pop, rock and electronica the sound melds together in their upcoming and much anticipated EP set to be released 10/10
