French record label Vulture Music came about in 2000, when Alan Braxe released Intro credited to Alan Braxe and Fred Falke, with the flip side being Most Wanted. Braxe was coming off a high from 1998, when he produced the hit track under "Stardust", The Music Sounds Better With You, along with Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk) and Benjamin Diamond. Vulture has been releasing an assortment of great "French Touch" classics with groups such as Lifelike, Kris Menace, Fred Falke, Pacific!, Starsmith, Das Glow and Feneche Soler.

He spent his earlier years blasting music in his headphones at school writing lyrics. Being an introvert, almost no one heard his music until 2005 when he released the critically acclaimed "Document 15". Since then, he has been through many trials and hardships that have shaped his new positive attitude and music. His interest in spirituality have given his new lyrics deeper meaning. He has made his presence known in the rave scene, the Kenyan rap scene, and is budding in the hip-hop scene. After hearing 808 State and The KLF back in 1992, Noble aka No Boats became hooked on house and anything else with a beat. His youth was spent attending weekend rave parties all over the East Coast, often travelling with a friend who sold candy and raver accessories ~ these PLUR induced moments would become the foundation for the type of vibe he was looking to create with his music. When he picked up his first Technics and a mixer in 2000, extra money was always quickly spent on vinyl. By that time, he lived in Chicago, the House music capitol, so finding good tunes wasn't a problem. He's always listening to new stuff while remaining true to those classic anthems we know and love. A true DJ, Noble has played clubs, birthdays, weddings, house parties, yoga studios, pool parties in Times Square and dirty warehouse parties in Brooklyn and Chicago. Wherever people want to dance and have a good time is where you'll find him.

OK, so I'm watching a doc about Girl Talk which you can find on Hulu and he's playing music and I hear the familiar "da dup" from this tune. It may have been this tune or something similar sounding, because it was showing his sample tracks on the screen but not this one. So, I go to google and I have no idea who this band is, I always liked the melody but apart from hearing it on the radio years ago ... all I know is ... "blank blank sunshine". Apparently, that's all I needed because I found it in 30 seconds. So, yeah it's like that. Better not steal my sunshine, not like you could anyway - there's enough to go around.

CLASSIC CHICAGO :: Party on the EL-Train / Conjugate - Motioness Projekt 2000
I remember the promotion of this back in 2000. Although I couldn't attend, it was undoubtedly a seminal moment in the Chicago rave scene. I later heard that it took some time for the promoters to get the approval of the CTA and City of Chicago to make this happen through the proper channels, which short of hijacking a train, is the only way to do it. There is very little on the net about what all went down ... but we know that there were six cars, cost was $35 and performers included DJ Jes, Ares, and Gabriel Palomo.

R.I.P. Gorillaz / Blur
Damon Albarn has suggested that there will not be another Gorillaz album, citing differences with the band's animator Jamie Hewlett.
Albarn has also said that this summer's Olympic show and Sweden's Way Out West Festival will likely be the last for his other band Blur.

Believe it or not, I have a personal relationship with three of the guys in this band - Todd and Paul Burdette were high school friends ... specifically Todd and I spent a lot of time skateboarding and playing NES .... Paul, his brother was another friend who was always tagging along ... Billy Davis was also in our skate crew ... I dated his sister's friend briefly ... I recall staying at his house and hiding in his closet when his dad came home and then skating to McDonald's the next morning. He had a mini half-pipe which was pretty dope but rocked back and forth when we rode it. Great memories ... I really miss all these guys!
