Minor Threat - Steppin' Stone

In high school, my good friends Todd Burdette, Paul Burdette and Billy Davis performed in the annual talent show. They did a cover of a cover of a cover - Steppin' Stone which has been covered from everyone such as Paul Revere and The Raiders, The Monkees and Minor Threat to the Sex Pistols and Tom Petty. They didn't win but I believe that they did place high. Coincidentally - Todd, Paul and Billy went on to play in many famous hard and crust core bands including Copout and Tragedy.

COMING TO REGGIES IN MAY :: Tragedy at Maryland Death Fest IX - Sonar (Baltimore, MD)

Believe it or not, I have a personal relationship with three of the guys in this band - Todd and Paul Burdette were high school friends ... specifically Todd and I spent a lot of time skateboarding and playing NES .... Paul, his brother was another friend who was always tagging along ... Billy Davis was also in our skate crew ... I dated his sister's friend briefly ... I recall staying at his house and hiding in his closet when his dad came home and then skating to McDonald's the next morning. He had a mini half-pipe which was pretty dope but rocked back and forth when we rode it. Great memories ... I really miss all these guys!
