This song has been stuck in my head for a while. Also, in my ears. I've been listening nonstop since I learned the name about two hours ago. Originally, I had heard it through the ether or internet or somewhere. Anyway, I heard it again when my bawse sister played it for me. This is an iconic remix of a Yacht song, as well an iconic song! That bass line ... and you can hear feedback in those first two measures! OMFG! Classixx transformed this song almost completely. The original almost songs like the remix after hearing this so many times. Great tune!

Do you remember the first time you heard a song? It doesn't happen with every song, just the special ones. Same with this song, we were hanging out on my smoking porch after hours, It was me, Eric Purdue aka White Buffalo Shamen, one of Atlanta's greatest deejays, and another. The third guy, who I can't remember anymore played this song, but the video was a breakdance competition. It stuck with me. Afterward, I searched Youtube for DJ competition African remixes and couldn't find anything. Apparently, Youtube had taken down that video. I messaged Eric eventually to ask the name of the song and of course he knew right away,

Eric Purdue aka White Buffalo Shamen still spins monthly underneath Starbar in little 5 points neighborhood of Atlanta, it's called Little Vinyl Lounge. Eric has the best taste in music, so I highly recommend it, if you are in the area.

A few years back, one of my favorite persons, dope DJ, contributor to the site and musician Scotty aka Ansible-Futurist remixed Ave Maria by Schubert. Now, Scotty is a trained musician on the piano and other instruments. After the breakup of my girlfriend (his cousin) of 9 years, the rest of the family wouldn't speak to me for the longest, only Scotty. I cherish our friendship to this day. I asked him to send me this track from a few years ago and asked if I could post it to Youtube. I hope my video pays homage to what a great and yet simple track - it's all samples from the original ... just in time for the holidays!

I have no idea what the words are to the cocaine-like hook of this remix, but I'm attempting to replicate them nearly constantly. Watch out, it's that addictive.
A supremely staccato track, there's no smooth but lots of bounce, up and at'em and get it done in this track.

I've been a little stuck, looking for something to hook me, pull me, push me out of bed and into the sparkly universe we call home. I bought running shoes. The expensive kind that have little trampolines in them (well that's what they feel like). I got the squishy soft socks too. I got a target, a cool art piece I heard about that's placed on top of a big hill for another few days. But something was still missing.

Not anymore.

This track may be a few months old, but it hit me at just the right time. At first listen, the Miguel Campbell grabbed me by the hips, but then the piano, synth and video game glibs of the original got my head, well.. bouncing. So here are both for you - flip a coin and shake, sway and bounce your tail (or head) accordingly.

Probably my all time favorite female DJ / Artist - Dani Deahl has blown the lid off Armin van Buuren's Ping Pong track. With much praise, not only all over the blogosphere, but also reaching #32 (at the moment) on Hypem's Popular track list and #17 on Beatport's top 100 Hip-Hop (cause they haven't separated out Trap music yet), it seems Dani has hit gold with this one. Of course, she has to have her haters too. At least, one trance purist on twitter said in no uncertain terms - how dare she defile the trance God Armin by creating a trap remix ... to which she replied - it's all about sharing the music to those who might not listen to trance.

I'm all at once addicted and craving and incessantly listening to this track today. The beat, the lyric, the uptempo bounce and the melodic play is all really working for me. I'm astonished that I haven't shared this already.
