We've covered ID Crysis before at Barrel~dEM, this time the London-based producer has reworked Nina Simone's Strange Fruit ... and it sounds delicious. The tune is haunting and incredibly simple, yet beautiful at the same time. If you haven't heard the original, I highly recommend that you check it out below as well.

DRUMS UPON DRUMS :: Gene Krupa & Buddy Rich - Bernie's Tune

Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich were legends on the drums. Gene was the first person inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame and Buddy has been called the world's greatest drummer. They only made 2 albums together. One, Krupa and Rich was released in 1955. Bernie's Tune is the only one on that album that they played together on. The result is incredible 14 minute drum battle interrupted occasionally by horns.
